With VAF ShaPoLi solution and IVY® Performance Monitoring you will be in control of your EEXI ranking and CII indicator.
VAF ShaPoLi solution is type approved by the major class societies.
You can be 100% sure to be EEXI compliant.
In control of EEXI & CII
To operate within the new IMO GHG regulations from 2023, VAF offers solutions that help with CO2 reduction based on sensor measurements. Also, Shaft Power Limitation (ShaPoLi) is an example of how CO2 emissions can be limited according to the IMO boundaries.
With our VAF IVY solution, you can monitor, investigate and optimize your fleet’s performance by visualizing data and providing you with 40+ KPI’s like flow meters and torque sensors.
IVY collects sensor data onboard your vessel. Via the vessel satellite connection, the data is then sent to the IVY cloud and accessible at the office onshore.
IVY provides fully automated voyage reports including automatic berth and anchorage detection. Using these voyage reports and high-frequent data, IVY automatically prepares MRV and IMO-DCS reports. IVY’s MRV & IMO-DCS reports require no manual input and are fully compatible with DNV-GL standards.

ACHIEVE COMPLIANCE WITH THE
With the IMO adopted energy efficiency strategy on the reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions from international shipping, the following goals have been set:
- Energy Efficiency requirements or existing vessels from 2023
- Carbon Intensity targets for existing vessels from 2026
- Reduction of carbon intensity by 40% by 2030
- Reduction of carbon intensity by 70% by 2050 (50% total)
With this in mind, VAF has created solutions, with the aim of actively providing support and assisting Ship Owners / Operators and Managers to achieve compliance with the new Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) Legislation, calculation of Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) by measuring big consumption data and operation changes for their Vessels, ultimately providing the best solution in terms reduction of EEXI & CII.
Per the first of January 2023, all sailing vessels above 5000 GT are obliged to fulfill the latest IMO EEXI regulations regarding their propulsion Energy Efficiency. In order to fulfill these EEXI regulations, the majority of the sailing vessels have to limit their shaft power. For this Shaft Power Limitation (ShaPoLi), VAF has developed the VAF ShaPoLi solution.
The VAF ShaPoLi solution consists of the following components (as prescribed by the IMO EEXI regulations):
- Shaft power/torque meter;
- Data collection system;
- Data visualization and interfacing touch screen;
- Alarm I/O
